AI-powered investment management SaaS startup FundGuard has closed a $12 million Series A round. This latest round brings its total funding to $16 million and more. The company’s technology allows investors to add layers of oversight to their portfolios, from reviewing cash to reviewing corporate actions and holdings. It also offers customizable thresholds for rules-based trading. Based in Tel Aviv and New York, FundGuard has raised its Series A round from Blumberg Capital and team8. Other investors included LionBird Ventures and operating committee members Heidi Miller and Jay Mandelbaum from JPMorgan.

The investment in FundGuard’s AI-powered software-as-a-service platform will spur product development and meet the demands of alternative funds, insurers, and other financial institutions.
